Alpine Home of furniture designer and sculptor Otmar Prenner is located in a commune in South Tyrol in Italy’s Alp region. This now eye-catching mountain chalet was originally a crumbling farm house of the designer’s uncle, dating all the way back to 14th century. The designer has preserved the original stone building construction, which you can easily spot in the living as well as the hayloft and the pantry.
The designer who used the cottage only occasionally throughout the years, has after living in Munich for 20 years relocated to the Alps making this his permanent residence. Therefore Prenner reshaped the house with a functional new approach, also almost all of the furniture in the house was designed by him.
