Featuring the world’s highest resolution display with a breathtaking 14.7 million pixels is Apple‘s latest iMac: the brand new 27-inch iMac with Retina 5K Display. Powered by a 3.5GHz quad-core Intel Core i5 processor with Turbo Boost up to 3.9GHz and configurable to a 4.0GHz quad-core Intel Core i7 with Turbo Boost up to 4.4GHz, the new iMac comes equipped with 8GB (two 4GB) 1600MHz DDR3 memory and four user-accessible SO-DIMM slots for up to 32GB of memory, a 1TB Fusion Drive (configurable to a 3TB Fusion Drive or 256GB, 512GB or 1TB of flash storage), and the choice of either a AMD Radeon R9 M290X graphics processor with 2GB of GDDR5 memory or a AMD Radeon R9 M295X with 4GB of GDDR5 memory. The desktop also comes equipped with an SDXC card slot; four USB 3 ports; two Thunderbolt 2 ports; Mini DisplayPort output with support for DVI, VGA, and dual-link DVI; 10/100/1000BASE-T Gigabit Ethernet; and a Kensington lock slot. The highlight, however, is undoubtedly the display itself which offers nearly unparalleled 5120-by-2880 resolution with support for millions of colors. The computer’s FaceTime HD camera even supports full native resolution and up to 3840 by 2160 pixels on an external display.

Capped off with 802.11ac WiFi wireless networking, IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n compatibility, and Bluetooth 4.0 and featuring OS X Yosemite right out of the box, the 5K iMac is now available online with prices starting at $2,499 USD
