Artworks for Peace by Louise Ladouceur

(On the side of life)  2004

The sun brings light and energy, touching all surfaces. People, like trees, spread their roots and branches, joining in a common network. This piece embodies harmony and communication.

No way for Guernica  2003

The lion symbolizes the force to maintain planetary balance, guarding the forbidden entrance. The sphere of our planet rests in a bright, clear crystal, positing hope against war.

(Heart trumps for peace)  2003

Beams of colour signify diversity and complementarity while the heart and clover bring peace and warmth. A rotation of the needle places us in an opportune moment.

(Without war, one hundred doves), 2003

With arrows pointed downward – saying no to war – and the flight of a bird – saying yes to peace – this work depicts the growth of constructive action against violence

(Consensus for the rose) 2003

The image of a woman fighting for life and love, surrounded by a colourful mosaic representative of our diverse planet.
