In the Hamilton Building of the Denver Art Museum, members of the media gathered eagerly for a preview of “Becoming Van Gogh,” a world exclusive exhibition set to open to the public October 21. The Van Gogh show includes more than 70 works that illustrate the influences on and progression of one of the world's most popular artists.
In keeping with the title “Becoming Van Gogh,” the show also gathers works by artists—many of them peers or friends—whose works influenced Vincent’s. The exhibit juxtaposes works by Emile Bernard, Camille Pissarro, Paul Signac, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Georges Seurat and Japanese artists, as well.
