"Florence at the Dawn of the Renaissance: Painting and Illumination 1300-1350" is the J. Paul Getty Museum, located in Los Angeles, art exhibit of how 14th-century Florentine artists like Giotto di Bondone paved the way for the Italian Renaissance by painting saints who looked reassuringly human. From Nov. 13-Feb. 10 audiences can view the 90 minute exhibition, including 7 notarized Giotto paintings, along with other artists such as Bernardo daddi.( 'A crowned Virgin Martyr) seen above.
