"Florence at the Dawn of the Renaissance: Painting and Illumination 1300-1350" is the J. Paul Getty Museum, located in Los Angeles, art exhibit of how 14th-century Florentine artists like Giotto di Bondone paved the way for the Italian Renaissance by painting saints who looked reassuringly human.
