"Rich Girlz" The Society Daily Interview

The Society Daily interviews Vanessa “Ms Nessa” Posso, owner of jewelry brand Rich Girlz

TSD: How did you come up with the name Rich Girlz?
RG: I wanted it to be something fly and nice with a little attitude! One day I came up with it after going through a million names. I added a Z at the end to make it unique.

TSD: Did you have any doubts before starting Rich Girlz? If so, how did you overcome them?
RG: I didn't have any doubts. I just went for it! I really wanted to have my own jewelry line and I am proud I did it.

TSD: How did you get your start in jewelry designing and what have you learned over the course of being a designer?
RG: I started playing with the hoop earrings and started adding material to it. I’ve always loved big earrings and sparkly things. I learned a lot of important things such as working with other females, creating a team and of course having a Girl Power movement.

TSD: Your jewelry has been on a lot of celebrities and reality stars. What celebrity or artist would be the perfect endorser for Rich Girlz?
RG: All celebs are perfect! ( He he) A few of them are rocking them such as Lil Kim, Natalie Nunn , Coco, of course Draya & the cast from Love & hip hop, etc.

TSD: What advice would you give to someone who’s trying to get his or her brand out to the public?
RG: My advice to these young entrepreneurs is GO FOR IT! Even when you have a million doubts & haters, please make it happen. Do your research & don't let anyone stop your GRIND! Build your empire!

TSD: What do you love most about designing and creating your own jewelry?
RG: Anything with the RichGirlz style is designed by me. I love to make exotic and everyday pieces. It may sound crazy but I love wood, so I use a lot of imported fancy wood materials. I like the hippie earrings with prints on them. I spend a lot of time sketching! It makes me happy.

TSD: What conflicts do you run into while designing?
RG: There's really no conflict. You have to keep inventing and creating different things.
I try to make as many different and crazy designs as possible.

TSD: What has been your favorite piece you've made so far?
RG: I love the Tibetan hoop! It’s made out of imported wood and it makes me feel tropical. I love it!
